Single-tier wedding veil is a modern evolution of the traditional double-tiered veil below. This veil is for a bride who doesn’t want to cover her face for the ceremony, but still wants the added drama of a veil from the back. This veil can be any length; from short to long.
This is a classic and by far the most traditional style of wedding veil. One layer goes at the back of the bride’s head, ranging from shoulder length all the way to cathedral length. The second, shorter layer called blusher goes over the bride’s face and is usually around waist length. The blusher doesn’t have to go over your face and add extra fullness to your bridal look.
This veil can be 3 tier or more. A multi layer veil provides even more body than a two-tier veil. You have a layered look from the back while the blusher is covering your face. The key is detachable longest tier(s) which makes it possible for you to enjoy your special day without restricting your movements while keeping your bridal look.
There are different veil shapes for subtle or more dramatic, thinner or fuller look and more. The fabric chosen and the cut or shape of the fabric determines how puffy or flat a veil is. The width of the fabric determines the fullness of the veil. There are 7 different wedding veil shapes or cuts.
The Angel Cut, also known as the V-cut is very similar to the waterfall wedding veil except it comes to a soft point at the bottom like an angel wing. So, before the veil is gathered the fabric looks like a large triangle. This enables the veil to have side folds with the length of the fabric tapering softly in the back. This timeless and elegant cut is most popular at fingertip length (45") or shorter.
A Waterfall or Cascade cut veil is a single layer veil with the sides shaped in a way to make them cascade down like a waterfall. The waterfall cut is a beautiful and romantic wedding veil style. The longer the veil lengths, the better the effect, as more of the side shaping has a chance to show itself. A full-length waterfall veil looks stunning with a mermaid dress because of the shaping of the veil and the shape of the dress.
The Fabric is cut into a rectangular or a handkerchief shape with centre gathering; falling to the side smoothly for a traditional bridal look.
Similar to two tier traditional cut with partly folded and gathered across at the top making the wedding veil fall over shoulders smoothly and naturally. This cut works great as a blusher veil.
